| Dependents Age 19 to 23 Information |
- During enrollment in benefits, dependents age 19 and over are covered only if the required proof of eligibility is provided to the Corporate HR Benefits Department.
- Dependents age 19 and over are eligible for coverage if physically or mentally handicapped and unable to work to support himself or herself.
- Dependents age 19 to 23 are eligible for coverage if enrolled as a Full-time student.
- If your dependent has already been enrolled during a prior enrollment period, you do not need to provide proof of eligibility during this Benefits Enrollment.
- Acceptable proof of eligibility includes a copy of the paid bill from the Registrar, a copy of the current class schedule, or a statement from the Admissions office indicating Full-time student status.
- Eligibility for coverage on Full-time students are re-verified each semester by health care providers.
- Dependents who reach age 19 and are not qualified to continue coverage under your plan or become no longer eligible, may continue coverage under COBRA. COBRA materials will be mailed to your home address within 14 days of the cancellation date.
